Janet Jackson’s ‘Unbreakable’ Diamond Collection

July 2nd, 2015 by Noam Flint

Many celebrities have demonstrated their passion for yellow diamonds. From Iggy Azalea to Kelly Clarkson, it is clear that colored diamonds are the hottest trend.

In true icon fashion, Janet Jackson recently raised the bar for the colored diamond niche. The celebrated singer and songwriter had a surprise for fans on Tuesday. Following the release of her chart-climbing single “No Sleep,” the entertainer announced that she would be launching her own luxury market diamond line.

Collection is a reflection of the icon’s style

While Paul Raps New York is partnering with Jackson on the collection, the brand’s official name is Janet Jackson Unbreakable Diamonds. Paul Raps stated the diamonds in ‘Unbreakable’ are an excellent cohesion of:

“integrity, prestige and authentic brilliance.”

Raps went on to say that the gems in Jackson’s jewelry line convey the star’s passion and taste for diamonds.

The price of elegance

Jackson gave fans proof of these qualities during her performance at this year’s BET Awards, where she received the Ultimate Icon Award.

The 49-year-old star shimmered while wearing a 13 carat Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond ring and a heart-shaped 25 carat diamond necklace to match. The ring and necklace are valued at $500,000 and $2 million respectively. These prices are a preview of the cost of the rest of Jackson’s line. Her jewelry won’t be something the everyday person can afford. Instead, the higher prices are targeted towards wealthier fans.

The artist is set to begin her Unbreakable World Tour in Vancouver, B.C., on Aug. 31, and the similarly named diamond collection is coming with her. Jackson plans to wear different pieces from her new line during her concerts.

The luxury-priced gems in the Janet Jackson Unbreakable Diamonds collection will be available on paulrapny.com.
