Ryan Reynolds proposes Blake Lively with a Pink Diamond Engagement Ring

It is hard to say no to Ryan Reynolds but when being proposed with a HUGE Pink Diamond engagement ring it is even harder.

Natural Pink diamonds are very rare and romantic. The combination of the two makes them the ultimate diamond for a celebrity engagement ring. The trend started few years back with Jennifer Lopez’s 6 Million Dollar pink diamond engagement ring – the ring she got from Ben Affleck and then after with the 1.8 Million Dollar apology in the form of a pink diamond ring David Beckham gave his wife Victoria.

This time, the celebrity using the secret weapon was the Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds, who proposed to Blake Lively, his Co-Star in his last big hit “The Green Lantern”.

According to the rumors, pictures and “guestimates” that were spread around, Ryan wanted a one of kind perfect ring for his special one and for that purpose he chose to design a pink diamond engagement ring.

The ring’s center piece is an oval light pink diamond weighing approximately 10 carats and with exceptional high clarity grading – maybe even internally flawless. The pink diamond was mounted onto a rose gold ring with 2 carat small white diamonds in the side (on the band).

And for those dying to know, such a ring costs above 2 Million Dollars.

This is not Ryan Reynolds first engagement ring.
Ryan was married to the beautiful Scarlett Johansson. Scarlet’s ring was a more “ordinary” ring (if that can be said) – a white 3 carat round brilliant diamond mounted in yellow gold estimated anywhere between $100,000-$300,000.
So, which type of engagement ring do you prefer? (I know what I would pick…).

A small (professional) suggestion… pink diamonds are very rare and exquisite and hence their prices. Ryan Reynolds chose to use a subtle form of pink which is not often thought off when considering pink diamonds. Using diamonds that were not graded as fancy but rather faint, light and fancy light pink may dramatically reduce the price while leaving the romantic and special tint of pink. Here is an example of a 0.70 carat very light pink diamond
