Blake Lively Shows off Pink Diamond Ring

Blake Lively has made a name for herself in Hollywood by looking glamorous every time she steps out on the red carpet. The actress, 26, normally lets her bold fashion statements do the talking, but a recent outing in Europe saw Lively sharing the spotlight with her favorite accessory: a pink diamond ring.
Lively attended the Gucci Spring 2014 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Her outfit and makeup would have been enough to command attention on their own, as she wore a mustard-yellow leather dress and bold red lipstick, but it was her brilliant engagement ring that stole the show.
Her now husband Ryan Reynolds proposed Lively a year ago with this special ring. Although the couple married in a secret wedding ceremony in September 2012, few details have leaked out about the sparkler Lively sports on her finger. In fact, the public has been left guessing about the gem, garnering information from pictures and sources close to the couple.

“The ring is an oval cut diamond, roughly 12-carat total weight depending on the way it was cut,” jeweler Adelaide Polk-Bauman told Celebuzz.com. “Depending on clarity and color, I would say at minimum this retails for $1.2 million, but closer to $2 million. It looks particularly brilliant.”
Lively’s engagement ring stands out in comparison to her subdued wedding band. This ring is a small band of white diamonds and rose gold, which matches the setting used for the pink diamond. According to The Daily Mail, Reynolds worked closely with a private jeweler to design the custom ring after selecting the diamond. The stone is placed in a delicate rose gold setting with pave diamonds along the band.
