September 10th, 2014 by Noam Flint

Once in a while, a piece of jewelry emerges that is so unique it astounds anyone who is fortunate enough to behold it.

Such is Rahaminov Diamonds’ “One Hundred” bracelet, which features a rare array of 100 fancy colored diamonds.

The bracelet, as derived from its name, weighs a 100 carats. What makes the piece even more special, though, is the bold, broad color palette, which ranges from orange brown, yellow, intense green yellow, gray, brown pink and dark green gray. Each and every stone boasts a hue that complements the others for a superb rainbow effect that looks stunning from all angles. Moreover, the diverse array of shapes, including cushions, pears, hearts, squares and brilliants, adds to the visual intrigue.

Still not impressed? The “One Hundred” bracelet is entirely handmade, and demanded a painstaking attention to detail and skilled workmanship to construct. It’s the small details to make this piece of jewelry truly remarkable. Every single stone is bezel-wrapped in 18-karat pink gold, each link is carefully connected in platinum individually so that they interlock securely but with flexible movement. It’s no wonder that the bracelet was called “an avid collector’s dream bracelet” in a press release.

Past marvels

This isn’t the first time that a striking piece of colored diamond jewelry was unveiled this year.

Back in April, the Aurora Butterfly of Peace, a 240-stone collection assembled by Alan Bronstein and Harry Rodman, wowed diamond enthusiasts when it went on display at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County through June. This jaw-dropping piece also featured stones in a variety of colors and cuts totaling 167 carats, all of which came from various locations across the globe from Russia to South Africa and Brazil. It took 12 years to compile this butterfly-shape collection, and the resulting design was nothing short of breathtaking. Moreover, the Aurora Butterfly of Peace is linked to a strong social message: peace and harmony among people from all religions, races and backgrounds.

Also impressive is Eddy Elzas’ Rainbow Colored Diamonds Collection, which was the centerpiece exhibit at the Israel Diamond Exchange during the U.S. and International Diamond Week April 6-10. This was the 57th time the Belgian diamantaire’s collection was put on display. It included 300 fancy diamonds spanning the color spectrum. Elzas spent four decades building up this collection of spectacular gems.
